My screws are made of stainless steel and have a regular Phillips head. Use a screw and nut to replace lost cover plate screws or reed plate screws. Screws and washers for reed replacement are also included.
There are two pieces of shim stock in the pack.
Also included is a checklist for Converting Marine Band 1896 harmonicas from nails to screws.
Five M2 10mm screws and five M2 nuts are all that is needed. In fact more screws can lead to less air efficiency. Three screws hold the reed plates to the comb and two screws at the front hold the cover plates.
(A pairing knife to open the Marine Band 1896, a drill and other commonly available supplies are required to convert a Marine Band 1896 from nails to screws.)
